1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AECOS Insights ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AECOS Insights provides AI-powered document management and analysis services, including but not limited to:

• Document upload, processing, and storage
• AI-powered chat interface for document queries
• Vector and full-text search capabilities
• Team collaboration and project management
• Integration with third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, xAI, Perplexity)

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Credits and Payment

4.1 Credit System

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are used for AI processing, document analysis, and other computational services. Credit costs vary based on:

• AI provider selected (Google Gemini, Claude, GPT-4, DeepSeek, Grok, Perplexity)
• Input and output token usage
• Document size and complexity
• Type of operation (chat, summary, comparison, etc.)

4.2 Payment

Payments are processed through Razorpay. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). By making a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the selected credit package.

4.3 Refunds

Credits are generally non-refundable except in cases of:

• Service errors or failures that result in credit deduction without service delivery
• Duplicate charges
• Unauthorized transactions (reported within 30 days)

4.4 Credit Expiration

Individual (B2C) credits never expire. Enterprise (B2B) monthly subscriptions reset each billing cycle, but unused credits may roll over based on your specific plan agreement.

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 Your Data

You retain all ownership rights to the documents and data you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

5.2 Third-Party AI Providers

The Service uses third-party AI providers (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, xAI, Perplexity). When you use AI features, your queries and relevant document context are sent to these providers. We do not share your entire document library, only the specific context needed to answer your queries.

5.3 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to generate spam, phishing, or fraudulent content
• Abuse credit system or attempt to manipulate pricing
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Upload content that violates intellectual property rights
• Use the Service to train competing AI models

7. AI-Generated Content

7.1 No Warranty on Accuracy

AI-generated responses are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or reliability. You are responsible for verifying all AI-generated content before using it for any decision-making or legal purposes.

7.2 Professional Advice

The Service does not provide legal, financial, engineering, or professional advice. AI responses should not be used as a substitute for consultation with qualified professionals.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Service IP

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and features, is owned by AECOS Insights and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload. However, you represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to upload and process such content.

9. Service Provider Role

AECOS Insights operates solely as a technology service provider. We provide a platform that integrates third-party AI services and document processing capabilities. We do not:

• Provide legal, financial, engineering, or professional advice
• Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
• Control or influence the outputs of third-party AI providers
• Take responsibility for decisions made based on AI-generated content
• Warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted

You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk and are solely responsible for verifying all information and seeking professional advice where necessary.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time from the account settings page. Unused credits are non-refundable.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any reason with 30 days' notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
